How Often Should You Schedule a Commercial Deep Clean?

Deep cleaning is not the same as your regular daily or weekly maintenance clean. It is a comprehensive, intensive process that targets areas routine cleaning cannot reach — and for most commercial premises, it needs to happen more regularly than business owners realise.

A thorough commercial deep clean covers floor-to-ceiling cleaning including walls, light fittings and air vents, areas behind and underneath heavy equipment, kitchen extraction systems, high-level dusting, descaling of sanitaryware, carpet deep extraction and hard floor restoration.

Offices typically benefit from a deep clean every three to six months. Schools and educational facilities traditionally schedule deep cleans during half-term and summer holidays, usually a minimum of three per year. Healthcare premises may require monthly deep cleans or more frequently in clinical areas. Retail premises every three to four months is typical.

Signs your premises is overdue a deep clean include persistent odours, visible build-up on surfaces, staff complaints about hygiene, or an upcoming inspection or audit.

Neglecting deep cleaning creates real risks — grease build-up in kitchens becomes a fire hazard, bacteria and mould create health risks, and accumulated grime shortens the lifespan of flooring and fixtures. Contact our team to arrange a free assessment.
